Biotechnology and Bioinformatics

The connection between biology and computer science has become crucial within biological sciences and biotechnology. It makes it possible to accumulate, combine and analyse large quantities of genetic and metabolite information. WTCW wants to play a central role in this quickly developing field, in co-operation with the bio-technical business world, in particular the pharmaceutical and food- products industries. Biotechnoloogy and bioinformatics is a joint project of the UvA and CWI.
